I realized an entire week had gone by without a house tour so I thought I'd feature an old favourite. Designer Michael Bargo's New York apartment featured in Domino a few years ago still remains a constant source of inspiration to me. Light and airy but full of interesting character with artfully arranged pieces and framed art throughout.
This really is living large in a small space, although this little studio is limited on floor space, it seems so light and airy. Rather than push the bed off into a corner of the room, he's made it an inviting focal point.
One of my all-time favourite dining nooks maximizes a little corner with faux built in dining banquette. The gallery wall above is simply done with smaller images and crisp matting in a variety of different frames.
In smaller spaces, artfully arranged little vignettes of everyday objects goes such a long way. Simple trays to form cohesive groups and little personal details like a framed piece of art or potted plant make the space feel organized and luxurious.
Some good inspiration for Spring cleaning this weekend!

Everything is so well-appointed. All except the bed in the middle of the room! I can appreciate embracing your challenge but geez...
I love the simplicity. It allows the natural light to really take center stage.
Chic without trying too hard- really lovely.
Ahh, this place is just lovely. So fresh, really, and I enjoy the details throughout. Proof that small can be just as chic :)
Thank you for the RT today on my giveaway, by the way—I love that the pieces are locally produced, their charity foundation and the quality of everything.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend, Sharalee, xoxo
oo i admire this kind of discipline. looks very refined but not too starchy. just right.
What a lovely home...
love the white on white paint
and the banquette looks inviting enough even with the minimal space it occupies ♥
what kind of person has a portrait of Lenin in their bedroom?
I love the tiny dining corner - it's just fab.

One of my favorite Domino apartments! That dining space is the absolute best. :)
I am always so interested to see how people design and live in small spaces -- especially studios. My favorite is the banquette.

I love how he organizes his kitchen. I've always lived in small apartments and space is always a challenge... this is a great inspiration piece.
