I've long been an addict of all white interiors, just yesterday at my bridal shower I was teased by friends about my long-standing all white towels and sheets rule (it was a tip I picked up from a very stylish Aunt). All white and neutral can sometime edge towards boring after a while though, so to liven things up I love a shot of bright colour. My living room currently follows this theme - all white sofa with black accents and a bright, colourful wool blanket brought back from Peru by a friend. It always makes me feel happy and refreshed.
Lately I've found myself constantly drawn to warm combinations of gold and peachy pink mixed with neutrals. There's just something so decadent about this palette - it instantly takes you back to sunny days at the beach but metallic or mirrored accents add a touch of sophistication and glamour.
{Also reminds me of these lovely outfits}

It's finally here - feels like I've been waiting for it since Monday - it's Friday night!! This weekend, I have a little bit of dancing and my bridal shower on the agenda.
What are you all up to this weekend?
Whatever you do, I hope you have some fun!
In honour of Pride Weekend here in Toronto, and my many lovely friends who are celebrating,
here are a few rainbows to brighten your day.
To everyone: whether you're out celebrating with drinks
or at home enjoying the company of a great book
you should take the time to sit back and be proud of yourself!
It's pretty amazing to be you!
{Of course we all know at the end of every rainbow, there's a treasure chest! Here are some lovely 'treasured chests' all captured by my friend Philip, enjoy!}
I love this open air bathroom - I'd love to spend an afternoon (or maybe the whole weekend) relaxing in a big bubble bath with the breeze coming through the open window...
It's no secret among family and friends that I am a long-time, massive Michael Jackson fan. Musical, dancing genius; contentious media figure; sensitive, mysterious, kind-hearted soul - a complicated character at best, but nevertheless one that has filled so many of my happy memories. From being scared of Vincent Price's creepy voice on Thriller, to my mum and I singing Ben to my brother (Ben), to obnoxiously insisting every birthday that the DJ dedicate some Michael track to me (usually Off the Wall or PYT), Michael has always been in heavy rotation in the playlist of my life. Along with so many of you, I'm very saddened by this news and missing Michael.
In honour of The King of Pop, here are a couple bedazzled fashion picks that always reminded me of him...
R.I.P dear Michael - here is a wonderful link found at {This is Glamorous}, full of some of my very favourite MJ videos (my top pick of the moment? Don't Stop till You Get Enough, because he just looks so happy and like he's enjoying himself...)
I love everything about this ensemble. Chic navy and and white striped strapeless dress. My much lusted after quilted Chanel bag. Casually touseled hair. Ready for an urban adventure.
It`s amazing how a tiny jolt of red can bring such an unexpected delight among the shades of grey. There`s something so eye catching - it immediately draws you to it. Just a touch is really just enough.
I'm a little bit in love with this dreamy dress and flowers, it just seems like
something magical would happen if you were wearing it...
Sometimes seeingvery fancy, embellished gowns makes me wish I'd picked something more like this for my own upcoming wedding rather than something more simple and understated. What type of dress would you pick?
I love the unexpected fun and playfulness a shiny 'disco ball' surface adds to a room. Like a big piece of statement jewelry it packs glamour and plenty of sparkle!
It's hard not to be seduced by the alluring, glamorous photography of John French. I can't help but want to be the model in each photo. The 1950s and 60s were probably my all time favourite era in fashion, I'd love to dress like this everyday - beautiful dresses, hats, gloves - I could never give up the occasional jeans, of course. I love the romantic elegance of it all.
With the help of my trusty sidekick Javier, I'm excited to announce the winner via random draw for the Japanese Paper Journal from The Paper Place - it was #3,Captivate Me. Congratulations!
Please email me your address so that I can post you the journal. Thanks to everyone who left comments, please stay tuned for another give-away coming soon...
I've always found myself drawn to the delectable shades of lavender. From a deep purple to a pale soft mauve, there's something so calming and intoxicating about this hue. Much like the lovely blossoms, it instantly calms and relaxes you.
This is where I'd like to be - enjoying a sunlit walk through the lavender fields in Provence...
