Interior designer and stylist Patti Rosati has a knack for pulling unexpected pieces together to create spaces that are unique and full of personality. Mixing ethnic styles, eras and styles in her Toronto home which almost feels like a art gallery with its crisp white walls providing the perfect background for all the colourful pieces.
The bright pink chair in the dining room is as much a piece of art as the framed pieces hanging on the wall.
Ethnic styles intermingle in the kitchen with sleek modern appliances juxtaposed with rather primitive looking African stools and blue and white Asian ceramics.
Love this little bookshelf nook that Patti has created in an unused space at the end of the counter. A great way to hide functional but not necessarily beautiful appliances (like the microwave) and an unexpected burst of colour as you turn the corner.
The purple Madeline Weinrib rug in the living area provides a colourful stage for soft neutral furniture. Patti adds extra splashes of colour through bright pillows and books.
A built in bookshelf acts as a headboard in the master bedroom and provides the ultimate display for a multitude of colourful treasures. The luxurious sari fabric on the bedcover adds a bit of exotic flare and livens up the grey room.
