    Our story...

It's time for my very first wedding post - not just any wedding post - this is for my very own wedding. Now, some of you may find this a little odd as you may know that Andrew and I are already married - so here's a little bit about our story...

We met through mutual friends in Zimbabwe over 10 years ago. I always thought Andrew was 'really cool' and had a wicked sense of humour. We were thisclose to getting together but then - I left to go to University in Toronto. Over the next couple years we stayed in touch and would talk from time to time, through many marathon phone conversations he soon became my one of my closest confidantes and frequent advice giver during through all my relationships drama at the time (yep, let's just say there were alot of duds back in the day...) We'd talked about being together for a couple years, and then finally, after a fateful trip to visit him in New York, we actually were :). Together we moved to Colorado, which is where we got engaged. During this time we decided to make our home back in Toronto (where I was born) and so to do that I had to sponsor him to come over. So we did things the old fashioned way - we eloped, just the two of us in a small courthouse. Now that we are finally able to live in the same country, we can't wait to have a celebration with our friends and family and are having our wedding this August...
