    Chanel + Ballet

We just spent a lovely evening watching The Sleeping Beauty performed by the Canadian National Ballet last night and it was so beautiful. Really. My mind is still a-twirl with visions of sparkles and tulle so I thought I'd share something beautiful and ballet.

Take a moment to pause and enjoy something beautiful. Watch these two clips and savour the beauty of the subtle, graceful movements ...

This amazing tutu was handmade with thousands of feathers for the English National Ballet's season of Ballet Russes. Senior principal dancer, Elena Glurdjidze wore the tutu in a private performance at the Chanel headquarters of The Dying Swan.

Absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to be a ballerina so badly when I was young -- they're always so beautiful and graceful.

I'm not even into ballet or really never been exposed to it but THAT WAS SO WONDERFUL! Thank you...Truth be told, if she wasn't dancing on a Chanel Floor, I would have never watched the clip:(

Janis - I know, I think my toes hurt just watching!

Oh thank you so much! The ballet was just magical, I'm already making plans to go to the Nutcracker as well :)

Through a delightful set of coincidences my husband just met 'Princess Aurora' from Sleeping Beauty, she was so unbelievably kind and gave him a set of autographed pointe shoes to give to me. I am over the moon! Can't wait for my next trip to the ballet.
