    Lush + bright

While I'm always an all-white advocate when it comes to decor, to look outside recently even I'd have to say it's been a bit much. I thought I'd remedy the situation with a much needed injection of bright colour! I love these bright, simple pieces by Australian artist Stephen Ormandy - striking, simple yet the vibrant colours have an incredible energy. The lush, tropical setting for the new Anthropologie catalogue has me dreaming of steamy summer days, rain showers and dense green forests (and Bali - one of the top destinations on my travel list at the moment.)

For now, it's shovelling snow and winter-wear, but at least we can savour
the dream of warmer days ahead...

P.S I first discovered Stephen's stunning work from this gorgeous Australian home,
which has remained a favourite of mine ever since.

Isn't it lovely - has me dreaming of shedding the layers and frolicking through the rainforest in pleated shorts...

Virginia - I hope they do! You do have some really lovely things there that I wish would come over here as well!

David - so glad you liked them too! Thought we could all use a little snow relief! ;)
