    At home: Photographer Matt Albiani

With a great eye for beautiful things, it's no surprise that photographer Matt Albiani's New York apartment is a veritable treasure trove. With walls and even bookcases covered in art and photography, I loved how he kept things looking streamlined and organized by covering his books in plain brown or white kraft paper. The walls and colours of the space are left in soft white and grey tones to create a neutral background for all of the knick-knacks and art can take focus and creating a sense of balance.

When not in New York, Matt spends much of his time at his cottage in Nantucket. He's brought that same feeling here to his apartment with nautical touches throughout the space, even installing faux panelling behind the headboard in the bedroom to create a beach cottage effect.

Watch the complete tour of Matt's Manhattan apartment here.

I am putting a cottage in Nantucket on my list of needs. His place is especially gorgeous and perfect for R&R.
