One of my own secret skills is a knack for cutting out paper butterflies, I've been doing it since my early teens when I would cut them out for my younger sister to stick on my inside of her bedside lamp shade. My heart fluttered when I discovered Paul Villinski's 'Beer Can Butterflies" through {ThisIsGlamorous} some time ago and I've been in love with them ever since. In fact, they've inspired a little installation art piece of my own at home (also a little bit of wedding decor...)

Enchanting!
I love those last two images! Beautiful.
I love the last two... are those the installation in your house! Cute cute!
Unfortunately not - although mine are quite similar - these are images by an installation by Paul Villinski
Love that butterfly umbrella! I live right next to a giant museum, which features a butterfly room. You actually have to step into this bubble first, and then you walk into the room, which is filled with free flying butterflies!! It is amazing, and I love when you realize there is a butterfly perched on your shoulder, watching you!
Oh wow Kristen - that sounds magical! What a lovely spot to have so close!
xo
wow.. excellent!.. love them..
So pretty and fanciful :)
i like seeing the sexier side of butterflies...nice photos!
DOC - you're right, butterflies don't usually have much of a sexy connotation but in a few of the above they definitely do!
