A perfect blend: cool + comfortable

I`m always drawn to calm, serene settings in pale neutrals with a little bit of an edge. All whites that still feel welcoming and not too sterile. Architect Vincent van Duysen has managed to achieve this look well in his home, while he definitely subscribes to minimalist sensibilities, the space still feel really comfortable. Soft curtains flow down from the high ceilings, plush comfy sofas in a deep navy ground the space and his use of natural woods throughout the loft soften the clean straight lines and industrial pieces.

I am with you to a tee ~ always trying to find the words to articulate my style decor (and fashion!) ~ combining neutrals with a little bit of edge ~ I like to think that's the perfect way to keep things classic and hip, all at the same time~

This is so beautiful...I enjoy the warmth in feeling and the space that is given to the unique objects in the home -- you can enjoy them so much more because clutter is avoided. Also, those tall doors and curtains are SO lovely...

Wishing you a fabulous Monday :)
