    Art on display

One of the things that is most important to me in my home is to be surrounded by beautiful art. It's a personal mission of mine to slowly accrue a collection - with alot done by friends and people whose work I really admire. Once you've managed to accumulate a decent collection - the question of how to display it is posed. While large scale gallery walls can make a big statement, they can be overwhelming at times, and are often a little challenging to initially space out. One of my favourite ideas at the moment is simply to use slim shelves to casually lean framed art against the wall. I love the casual feeling and the ease of being able to rearrange and regroup pieces to suit the feeling you wish to generate.

I'm all for the non-commital leaning of frames... i'm just not sure i'd love it forever if I hung them on the wall... i'm always wanting to change things up!

Yeah! I am also a huge art lover and I am always looking at new ways of displaying art. Vicente is always doing it with such great style. I am actually heading to Ikea tomorrow to buy a couple of those mega long white ledges to display art on. Looks nice on white walls. Happy week, friend. Mon

beautiful examples of framed work. we've been working on our own "collection." our home doesn't feel like home w/out a lot of art work around.
