I was reminded of this favourite quote while visiting Sarah Klassen's blog, Haute Design. If this simple truth applies to the start of a new day, than certainly to a fresh new year also.
Whatever lay within the year past is now behind you - look forward
to a blank page, a clean slate, a fresh start...
... here's to the adventure that lies ahead!

i love the quote from one of my favorite writers! love the photos... white is perfect for a fresh start
I love that quote. I've never read the book, but I've seen the movie at least 100 times (seriously). Also, I agree with Luxe Star, white is a great canvas for creating a masterpiece.
I want that bathtub!

How soothing and cleansing for every sense after the richness of Christmas and New Year!
Lovely picks!

Here's to a fantastic 2010!
What a wonderful thought--and quote--for starting a new year!
I am in love with the white mirror in the last photo. Gorgeous! Happy New Year to you!
Couldn't agree more! I am all for starting fresh and looking forward. A good doze of simple white is exactly what I needed! I recently found a very smililar quality mirror as the one in your last image at a consignment store. It is in gold but I am so having it painted white - as part of the fresh start! OX Monika

Love the quote from Anne of Green Gables! Even after all these years since I first read it, I can easily recite it and continually try to remind myself of its truth.
